Changes...

Thank you for following my Project 365 in 2010. I'm so glad I was able to share it with you!

For 2011, I've moved my photography projects (separate from my sessions for clients) to a new blog, which you can find here. You'll see the full archives from 2010's project, as well as my new endeavor for this year.

As always, news and new photo sessions from Heather Grace Photography can be found at my online portfolio and blog.

All the best,
Heather

365~ January 29

I've been wanting open-finger mittens for shooting during these cold winter months, so I was excited to find these at the bottom of the clearance bin at Old Navy two nights ago. They cost me about a dollar, and I thought I found the deal of the century.

Until this morning, when I gave them a more careful look...

365~ January 22

There's a great ministry in my town. Volunteers drive around to local grocers and gather food that is about to reach it's expiration date and would otherwise be thrown away. The food is dropped off at a nearby church parking lot and is available for free. It's a great blessing to my family and to many others. This is a picture of the perfectly delicious- and still fresh- food and roses that the girls and I picked up for free this morning. And a little hand that reached in just as I pressed the shutter button to steal the potato knish from Whole Foods.
What's a knish, anyway?

Today I was low on both inspiration and motivation. And let's face it, I'm not very good at taking a picture while kneading dough in poor lighting.

But the pizza was good...

I did a session with darling little C and her family this morning! Loved 'em so much that I had to use one for my picture of the day. Check back for more cuteness once I post the rest of the sneak peek from this session...

365~ January 4

This photo was taken during today's "art project" time -- somewhere in between a Winnie the Pooh DVD and lunch. It's significant to me for two reasons. One; the artist Grace, at almost 3 years old, is beginning to make these little marks that she calls "letters" and likes to use her "letters" to write people's names. She can write "O", "G", and "M" but the rest she just makes up. This particular yellow sheet of paper, in case you can't tell, has the names of everyone in our family written all over it! Two; look carefully and you'll see Leah's little teeth marks on the crayons. It's a stage she's going through.

I wasn't able to share my very first picture of my 365 Project on January first, since I was out of town for my cousin's fabulous New Year's Day wedding~ don't worry, I didn't forget to post!
Now I'm back at home and ready to dive in.

It's really hard to express how happy and grateful I was to be a part of my cousin Mandy's wedding. I was one of 10 bridesmaids, and my oldest daughter Grace was the flower girl. I had to work hard to resist the urge to stick my face behind my camera all day long, but thankfully I was able to simply soak in the special moments. Mandy had the great idea to have the bridesmaids make our own bouquets~ this is a picture of mine.
